Having taught and mentored students learning independently and in higher education for many years, I brought together my professional experience with my teaching skills to create a comprehensive guide to learning cinematography through practice. First published November 18 and awarded the inaugural award for best new textbook in the same year my book has been adopted widely and is currently used as the course text for Introduction to Cinematography at many universities including UCLA and USC
